Notice
of Delisting or Failure to Satisfy Continued Listing Rule or Standard;
Transfer of Listing

General
Communication, Inc. (“GCI”) was unable to file its Form 10-Q with the Securities
and Exchange Commission (“SEC”) for the period ended September 30, 2008 before
the due date for such report. In accordance with Nasdaq’s rules, on
November 19, 2008, GCI received a Nasdaq staff determination letter stating that
GCI is not in compliance with Nasdaq Marketplace Rule 4310(c)(14) because it has
not timely filed with Nasdaq its Quarterly Report on Form 10-Q for the quarter
ended September 30, 2008.
The letter states
that GCI has 60 calendar days to submit a plan to regain
compliance.
GCI filed its
September 30, 2008 Form 10-Q with the SEC on November 21, 2008 and, with this
filing, has retained compliance. GCI has also responded to Nasdaq
that it has regained compliance.
A
copy of GCI’s press release announcing the Staff Determination Letter is
attached to this Form 8-K as Exhibit 99.1.
